Central Golden Eagles (Springfield, MA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Commerce Red Raiders (Springfield, MA), 82-36 in a league bout.

With the win, Central upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Golden Eagles host Putnam Vo-Tech (Springfield, MA) to play the Beavers in a Valley bout on Thursday, December 22. The Beavers go into the bout with a record of 3-0. Putnam Vo-Tech won 53-41 in their recent league bout against Commerce (Springfield, MA)

Next up, the Red Raiders play the South Colonials (Worcester, MA) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 21. Commerce will attempt to upgrade on its 0-4 season record. The Colonials go into the bout with a 0-2 record after their 82-51 non-league loss to Malden Catholic (Malden, MA).
