Mormon Trail Saints (Garden Grove, IA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Martensdale-St. Mary's Blue Devils (Martensdale, IA), 64-32 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Mormon Trail upgrades its record to 4-1 on the season. The Saints host Murray (Murray, IA) to play the Mustangs in a Bluegrass bout on Tuesday, December 20. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 5-3. Murray won 54-14 in their recent league bout against Moulton-Udell (Moulton, IA)

Next up, the Blue Devils play the Winterset Huskies (Winterset, IA) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 28. Martensdale-St. Mary's will attempt to upgrade on its 1-6 season record. The Huskies go into the bout with a 4-3 record after their 69-67 league loss to North Polk (Alleman, IA).
