The Pleasant Valley Bears (Brodheadsville, PA) basketball nipped the visiting Notre Dame Spartans (East Stroudsburg, PA), 54-51 in Monday's non-league test.

The Bears (3-4) will now prepare for their test against East Stroudsburg North (Dingmans Ferry, PA). The Timberwolves go into the Mountain Valley test with a 3-2 record. In their last test, East Stroudsburg North got by Northampton (Northampton, PA), 58-46, in a non-league test.
