In Monday's non-league outing, the Starpoint Spartans (Lockport, NY) basketball squad beat the visiting Wilson Lakemen (Wilson, NY), by a margin of 48-37.

The Spartans (2-2) will now prepare for their outing against Amherst Central (Amherst, NY). The Tigers go into the Section 6 Erie County II outing with a 3-1 record. In their last outing, Amherst Central defeated Williamsville South (Williamsville, NY), 76-45, in a league outing.

The Lakemen now own a 4-3 record. They play next when they travel to Royalton-Hartland for a Section 6 Niagara - Orleans outing on Tuesday, January 3.
