Ohio High School Basketball - Shawnee tops Catholic Central
December 19, 2023: Springfield, OH 45505 Shawnee Braves (Springfield, OH) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Catholic Central Irish (Springfield, OH), 55-41 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Shawnee upgrades its record to 5-0 on the campaign. The Braves travel to North Union (Richwood, OH) to play the Wildcats in a Central Buckeye Conference - Mad River bout on Friday, December 22. The Wildcats come into the bout with a record of 5-0. North Union won 55-45 in their recent league bout against Graham Local (St. Paris, OH)
Next up, the Irish play the Cedarville Indians (Cedarville, OH) in a Ohio Heritage bout, on Friday, December 22. Catholic Central will attempt to upgrade on its 1-5 season record. The Indians come into the bout with a 7-1 record after their 65-54 non-league loss to Fairfield (Leesburg, OH).
