Nebraska High School Basketball - Cross County overwhelms Centura
December 19, 2023: Stromsburg, NE 68666 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Cross County Cougars (Stromsburg, NE) and the visiting Centura Centurions (Cairo, NE), saw Cross County's basketball squad wallop Centura by a tally of 62-35.
With the victory, Cross County improves its record to 5-2 on the campaign. The Cougars host Wood River (Wood River, NE) to play the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Thursday, December 21. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 4-2. Wood River won 70-30 in their recent non-league challenge against Gibbon (Gibbon, NE)
Next up, the Centurions play the Sutton Mustangs (Sutton, NE) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 2. Centura will attempt to improve on its 0-7 season record. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a 3-3 record after their 52-40 league win over Nebraska Christian (Central City, NE).
