December 19, 2023: Fred, TX 77616 Good Samaritan HomeSchool Hornets (Fred, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Chester Yellowjackets (Chester, TX), 63-36 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Good Samaritan HomeSchool upgrades its record to 3-0 on the season. The Hornets host Harmony Science Academy (Beaumont, TX) to clash with the Tigers in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 4. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 7-9. Harmony Science Academy won 61-51 in their recent non-league bout against Deweyville (Deweyville, TX)
Next up, the Yellowjackets clash with the Goodrich Hornets (Goodrich, TX) in a 1A Region IV District 28 bout, on Tuesday, January 2. Chester will attempt to upgrade on its 3-9 season record. The Hornets go into the bout with a 0-10 record after their 59-44 league loss to Burkeville (Burkeville, TX).
