West Virginia High School Basketball - Clay-Battelle overwhelms Mapletown
December 19, 2023: Blacksville, WV 26521 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Clay-Battelle Cee Bees (Blacksville, WV) and the visiting Mapletown Maples (Greensboro, PA), saw Clay-Battelle's basketball squad wallop Mapletown by a tally of 76-34.
With the victory, Clay-Battelle improves its record to 3-1 on the campaign. The Cee Bees host Morgantown Christian Academy (Morgantown, WV) to play the Mustangs in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 29. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a record of 6-0. Morgantown Christian Academy won 57-49 in their recent league challenge against Grace Christian (Huntington, WV)
Next up, the Maples play the Jefferson-Morgan Rockets (Jefferson, PA) in a WPIAL 1A 2 challenge, on Wednesday, January 3. Mapletown will attempt to improve on its 0-5 season record.
