Nebraska High School Basketball - Fillmore Central holds off St. Cecilia
December 19, 2023: Geneva, NE 68361 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Fillmore Central Panthers (Geneva, NE) and the visiting St. Cecilia Bluehawks (Hastings, NE), saw Fillmore Central's basketball squad hold off St. Cecilia by a tally of 44-43.
With the victory, Fillmore Central improves its record to 7-0 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Shelby-Rising City (Shelby, NE) to confront the Huskies in a non-league challenge on Thursday, December 28. The Huskies come into the challenge with a record of 3-4. Shelby-Rising City won 51-42 in their recent non-league challenge against High Plains (Polk, NE)
Next up, the Bluehawks confront the York Dukes (York, NE) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 29. St. Cecilia will attempt to improve on its 3-4 season record. The Dukes come into the challenge with a 2-4 record after their 62-54 non-league win over Adams Central (Hastings, NE).
