Jasper Vikings (Jasper, AL) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Florence Eagles (Florence, MS), 71-49 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Jasper upgrades its record to 10-2 on the season. The Vikings host Fayette County (Fayetteville, GA) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 20. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 7-1. Fayette County won 47-45 in their recent non-league bout against Huffman (Birmingham, AL)

Next up, the Eagles play the Provine Rams (Jackson, MS) in a 5A Region 3 bout, on Friday, December 22. Florence will attempt to upgrade on its 10-6 season record. The Rams go into the bout with a 9-3 record after their 65-57 non-league loss to Clinton (Clinton, MS).
