Michigan High School Basketball - Pershing nips Ford
December 19, 2023: Detroit, MI 48219 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Pershing Doughboys (Detroit, MI) and the host Ford Trojans (Detroit, MI), saw Pershing's basketball squad hold off Ford by a count of 77-71.
With the victory, Pershing upgrades its record to 3-1 on the campaign. The Doughboys travel to L'Anse Creuse North (Macomb, MI) to play the Crusaders in a non-league challenge on Thursday, December 21. The Crusaders come into the challenge with a record of 5-2. L'Anse Creuse North lost 59-56 in their recent league challenge against Roseville (Roseville, MI)
Next up, the Trojans play the Saginaw Arts & Sciences Academy Dragons (Saginaw, MI) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, December 27. Ford will attempt to upgrade on its 0-5 season record. The Dragons come into the challenge with a 2-3 record after their 65-38 non-league win over Akron-Fairgrove (Fairgrove, MI).
