Michigan High School Basketball - Standish-Sterling nips Garber
December 19, 2023: Essexville, MI 48732 Standish-Sterling Panthers (Standish, MI) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Garber Dukes (Essexville, MI), 56-50 in a league bout.
With the victory, Standish-Sterling upgrades its record to 5-1 on the campaign. The Panthers host Beaverton (Beaverton, MI) to play the Beavers in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 21. The Beavers come into the bout with a record of 5-2. Beaverton won 54-41 in their recent non-league bout against Lake City (Lake City, MI)
Next up, the Dukes play the All Saints Central Cougars (Bay City, MI) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 22. Garber will attempt to upgrade on its 3-3 season record. The Cougars come into the bout with a 5-2 record after their 56-49 league loss to Deckerville (Deckerville, MI).
