Iowa High School Basketball - Keota nips Montezuma
December 19, 2023: Keota, IA 52248 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Keota Eagles (Keota, IA) and the visiting Montezuma Braves (Montezuma, IA), saw Keota's basketball squad hold off Montezuma by a count of 55-51.
With the victory, Keota upgrades its record to 9-0 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to H-L-V (Victor, IA) to play the Warriors in a South Iowa Cedar challenge on Thursday, December 21. The Warriors come into the challenge with a record of 3-5. H-L-V won 54-21 in their recent league challenge against English Valleys (North English, IA)
Next up, the Braves play the Tri-County Trojans (Thornburg, IA) in a South Iowa Cedar challenge, on Thursday, December 21. Montezuma will attempt to upgrade on its 6-2 season record. The Trojans come into the challenge with a 0-9 record after their 71-23 league loss to B-G-M (Brooklyn, IA).
