Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Mancelona Ironmen (Mancelona, MI) and the host Pine River Area Bucks (Leroy, MI), saw Mancelona's basketball squad overcome Pine River Area by a tally of 61-53.

With the victory, Mancelona improves its record to 5-1 on the campaign. The Ironmen travel to East Jordan (East Jordan, MI) to confront the Red Devils in a non-league challenge on Thursday, December 21. The Red Devils come into the challenge with a record of 2-2. East Jordan won 68-54 in their recent non-league challenge against Ellsworth (Ellsworth, MI)

Next up, the Bucks confront the Evart Wildcats (Evart, MI) in a Highland challenge, on Tuesday, January 2. Pine River Area will attempt to improve on its 6-1 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 2-3 record after their 55-50 league loss to Manton (Manton, MI).
