December 19, 2023: Palos Heights, IL 60463 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Manteno Panthers (Manteno, IL) and the host Shepard Astros (Palos Heights, IL), saw Manteno's basketball squad wallop Shepard by a tally of 55-33.
With the victory, Manteno improves its record to 9-4 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Cissna Park (Cissna Park, IL) to confront the Timberwolves in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, December 27. The Timberwolves come into the challenge with a record of 2-10. Cissna Park lost 50-29 in their recent non-league challenge against La Salette Academy (Georgetown, IL)
Next up, the Astros confront the Peotone Blue Devils (Peotone, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 22. Shepard will attempt to improve on its 1-8 season record. The Blue Devils come into the challenge with a 1-10 record after their 56-40 non-league loss to Westmont (Westmont, IL).
