Oregon High School Basketball - Sutherlin holds off Riverdale
December 19, 2023: Sutherlin, OR 97479 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Sutherlin Bulldogs (Sutherlin, OR) and the visiting Riverdale Mavericks (Portland, OR), saw Sutherlin's basketball squad hold off Riverdale by a tally of 49-45.
With the victory, Sutherlin improves its record to 2-4 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to South Umpqua (Myrtle Creek, OR) to confront the Lancers in a 3A Far West challenge on Friday, December 22. The Lancers come into the challenge with a record of 2-3. South Umpqua lost 70-59 in their recent non-league challenge against Siuslaw (Florence, OR)
Next up, the Mavericks confront the Molalla Indians (Molalla, OR) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, December 21. Riverdale will attempt to improve on its 0-7 season record. The Indians come into the challenge with a 1-7 record after their 47-44 non-league loss to Stevenson (Stevenson, WA).
