December 19, 2023: St. David, AZ 85630 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Safford Bulldogs (Safford, AZ) and the host St. David Tigers (St. David, AZ), saw Safford's basketball squad overcome St. David by a tally of 67-58.
With the victory, Safford improves its record to 5-0 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Douglas (Douglas, AZ) to confront the Bulldogs in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, December 20. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 5-6. Douglas lost 79-45 in their recent non-league challenge against Empire (Tucson, AZ)
Next up, the Tigers confront the Patagonia Lobos (Patagonia, AZ) in a 1A Tucson Southeast challenge, on Thursday, January 4. St. David will attempt to improve on its 2-8 season record. The Lobos come into the challenge with a 7-11 record after their 71-33 league win over Lourdes Catholic (Nogales, AZ).
