Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Avonworth crushes Bishop Canevin
December 19, 2023: Pittsburgh, PA 15237 Avonworth Antelopes (Pittsburgh, PA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Bishop Canevin Crusaders (Pittsburgh, PA), 60-25 in a non-league match.
In their next game, the Antelopes meet the South Allegheny Gladiators (McKeesport, PA) in a WPIAL 3A 2 match, on Tuesday, January 2. Avonworth will attempt to move on its 6-0 season record.
With the defeat, Bishop Canevin moves to 2-5 on the year. The Crusaders travel to Our Lady of the Sacred Heart (Coraopolis, PA) to play the Chargers in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 21. The Chargers go into the bout with a record of 4-3. Our Lady of the Sacred Heart lost 57-37 in their recent non-league bout against Lower Moreland (Huntingdon Valley, PA)
