Montezuma Braves (Montezuma, IA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Keota Eagles (Keota, IA), 60-16 in a league bout.

With the win, Montezuma upgrades its record to 7-2 on the season. The Braves travel to Prairie City-Monroe (Monroe, IA) to clash with the Mustangs in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 4. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 7-3. Prairie City-Monroe lost 60-40 in their recent league bout against South Hamilton (Jewell, IA)

Next up, the Eagles clash with the H-L-V Warriors (Victor, IA) in a South Iowa Cedar bout, on Thursday, December 21. Keota will attempt to upgrade on its 1-8 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 5-3 record after their 55-48 league win over English Valleys (North English, IA).
