December 19, 2023: Mountain View, AR 72560 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Mammoth Spring Bears (Mammoth Spring, AR) and the host Mountain View Yellowjackets (Mountain View, AR), saw Mammoth Spring's basketball squad hold off Mountain View by a tally of 53-49.
With the victory, Mammoth Spring improves its record to 15-3 on the campaign. The Bears travel to Farmington (Farmington, AR) to confront the Cardinals in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, December 27. The Cardinals come into the challenge with a record of 15-0. Farmington won 56-17 in their recent league challenge against Prairie Grove (Prairie Grove, AR)
Next up, the Yellowjackets confront the Hoxie Mustangs (Hoxie, AR) in a 3A Region 2 challenge, on Tuesday, January 2. Mountain View will attempt to improve on its 9-6 season record. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a 0-10 record after their 53-28 non-league loss to Tuckerman (Tuckerman, AR).
