Iowa High School Basketball - Storm Lake holds off Pocahontas
December 19, 2023: Storm Lake, IA 50588 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Storm Lake Tornadoes (Storm Lake, IA) and the visiting Pocahontas Indians (Pocahontas, IA), saw Storm Lake's basketball squad hold off Pocahontas by a tally of 61-57.
With the victory, Storm Lake improves its record to 7-3 on the campaign. The Tornadoes travel to Le Mars (Le Mars, IA) to confront the Bulldogs in a non-league challenge on Friday, January 5. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 7-2.
Next up, the Indians confront the Spirit Lake Indians (Spirit Lake, IA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 2. Pocahontas will attempt to improve on its 4-4 season record. The Indians come into the challenge with a 4-3 record after their 69-28 non-league win over Boyden-Hull (Hull, IA).
