In Tuesday's non-league outing, the Thomas Jefferson Gryphons (Mooresboro, NC) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting The Master's Academy Lions (Forest City, NC), by a count of 42-21.

The Gryphons (5-2) will now prepare for their outing against Bessemer City (Bessemer City, NC). The Yellow Jackets go into the 1A/2A Southern Piedmont outing with a 2-7 record.

The Lions now hold a 8-2 record. They play next when they travel to Pinnacle Classical Academy for a non-league outing on Wednesday, December 20. The Master's Academy will clash with a Eagles squad coming off a 71-19 non-league win over Lake Lure Classical Academy (Lake Lure, NC). The Eagles record now stands at 5-4.
