California High School Basketball - Escalon can't hold off Central Valley
December 19, 2023: Escalon, CA 95320 The Central Valley Hawks basketball team scored 53 points and held the host Escalon Cougars to 51 in the Hawks non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Hawks now sport a 1-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Calaveras for a non-league contest on Wednesday, December 20. Central Valley will battle a Red Hawks team coming off a 70-35 non-league loss to Bradshaw Christian (Sacramento, CA). The Red Hawks record now stands at 6-5.
The Cougars (3-6) will now prepare for their contest against Argonaut (Jackson, CA). The Mustangs enter the non-league contest with a 1-5 record. In their last contest, Argonaut was nudged by Bradshaw Christian (Sacramento, CA), 60-32, in a non-league contest.
