December 19, 2023: Mercer Island, WA 98040 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Sumner Spartans (Sumner, WA) and the host Mercer Island Islanders (Mercer Island, WA), saw Sumner's basketball squad wallop Mercer Island by a tally of 79-57.
With the victory, Sumner improves its record to 6-0 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Seattle Prep (Seattle, WA) to confront the Panthers in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, December 19. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 1-5. Seattle Prep lost 57-20 in their recent non-league challenge against Garfield (Seattle, WA)
Next up, the Islanders confront the Auburn Trojans (Auburn, WA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 22. Mercer Island will attempt to improve on its 2-5 season record. The Trojans come into the challenge with a 10-0 record after their 92-40 non-league win over Peninsula (Gig Harbor, WA).
