Texas High School Basketball - Alba-Golden bested by New Diana
December 19, 2024: Diana, TX 75640 New Diana Eagles (Diana, TX) supporters left the game happy Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad run past the visiting Alba-Golden Panthers (Alba, TX), 53-43 in a non-league match.
With the victory, New Diana advances its record to 8-4 on the year. The Eagles travel to Sam Rayburn (Ivanhoe, TX) to meet the Rebels in a non-league match on Thursday, December 26. The Rebels enter the match with a record of 10-2. Sam Rayburn won 52-26 in their recent league match against Wolfe City (Wolfe City, TX)
The Panthers now own a 2-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Martins Mill for a 2A Region III District 19 match on Tuesday, December 31. Alba-Golden will meet a Mustangs squad coming off a 70-51 league win over LaPoynor (LaRue, TX). The Mustangs record now stands at 16-0.
