Kentucky High School Basketball - Woodford County holds off Blazer
December 19, 2024: Ashland, KY 41102 In Thursday's non-league contest, the visiting Woodford County Yellowjackets basketball team scored a close 71-70 triumph over the Blazer Tomcats.
The Yellowjackets (3-3) will now prepare for their contest against St. Xavier (Louisville, KY). The Tigers go into the non-league contest with a 6-0 record. In their last contest, St. Xavier nipped Lloyd Memorial (Erlanger, KY), 76-64, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Tomcats confront the Butler County Bears (Morgantown, KY) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, December 21. Blazer will attempt to better on its 3-3 season record. The Bears go into the contest with a 4-4 record after their 75-72 non-league loss to Male (Louisville, KY).
