Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Central Columbia can't hold off Northwest Area
December 19, 2024: Shickshinny, PA 18655 Northwest Area Rangers (Shickshinny, PA) boosters left the game satisfied Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the visiting Central Columbia Bluejays (Bloomsburg, PA), 48-42 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Northwest Area upgrades its record to 6-2 on the year. The Rangers travel to Sullivan County (Laporte, PA) to face the Griffins in a Midd-Penn match on Saturday, January 4. The Griffins enter the match with a record of 6-1.
The Bluejays now sport a 4-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Berwick for a non-league match on Saturday, December 21. Central Columbia will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 66-56 league loss to Wyoming Area (Exeter, PA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 1-5.
