In Thursday's non-league contest, the visiting Pioneer Charter School of Science II Pirates basketball team scored a close 48-44 triumph over the Innovation Academy The Red Tailed Hawk.

The Pirates (1-3) will now prepare for their contest against Community Charter School of Cambridge (Cambridge, MA). The Cougars go into the Freelance contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, Community Charter School of Cambridge was tipped by Pioneer Charter School of Science (Everett, MA), 49-44, in a league contest.
