December 19, 2024: Hayward, CA 94545 The Mt. Eden Monarchs (Hayward, CA) basketball edged the visiting Irvington Vikings (Fremont, CA), 43-42 in Thursday's non-league bout.
The Monarchs now possess a 5-3 record. They play next when they travel to Monte Vista for a non-league bout on Friday, December 20. Mt. Eden will play a Mustangs team coming off a 61-56 non-league win over Mountain House (Mountain House, CA). The Mustangs record now stands at 6-3.
With the loss, Irvington falls to 3-7 on the campaign. The Vikings host Tennyson (Hayward, CA) to play the Lancers in a non-league bout on Monday, December 23. The Lancers go into the bout with a record of 4-7. Tennyson lost 51-42 in their recent non-league bout against Freedom (Oakley, CA)
