Iowa High School Basketball - Pius X holds off Treynor
December 19, 2024: Treynor, IA 51575 The Pius X Thunderbolts basketball team scored 68 points and limited the host Treynor Cardinals to 65 in the Thunderbolts non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Thunderbolts now possess a 3-4 record. They play next when they travel to Sioux City East for a non-league game on Saturday, December 21. Pius X will confront a Black Raiders team coming off a 101-35 league win over Jefferson (Council Bluffs, IA). The Black Raiders record now stands at 5-0.
With the loss, Treynor falls to 4-2 on the campaign. The Cardinals host IKM/Manning (Manning, IA) to confront the Wolves in a Western Iowa game on Friday, December 20. The Wolves go into the game with a record of 4-1. IKM/Manning lost 73-43 in their recent league game against Underwood (Underwood, IA)
