In Thursday's non-league contest, the host St. John's Cadets basketball team scored a big 66-43 triumph over the Takoma Academy Tigers.

The Cadets (7-1) will now prepare for their contest against Riverdale Baptist (Upper Marlboro, MD). The Crusaders go into the non-league contest with a 7-4 record. In their last contest, Riverdale Baptist smashed New Hope Academy National (Landover Hills, MD), 82-62, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Tigers confront the Maret Frogs (Washington, DC) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, December 21. Takoma Academy will attempt to better on its 6-4 season record. The Frogs go into the contest with a 3-3 record after their 62-39 league win over Georgetown Day (Washington, DC).
