Payson Lions (Payson, UT) supporters left the game satisfied Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the host Buckeye Hawks (Buckeye, AZ), 59-16 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Payson advances its record to 6-1 on the year. The Lions travel to Brighton (Salt Lake City, UT) to face the Bengals in a non-league match on Tuesday, December 31. The Bengals enter the match with a record of 6-4. Brighton won 60-26 in their recent non-league match against Cyprus (Magna, UT)

The Hawks now own a 4-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Foothill for a non-league match on Friday, December 20. Buckeye will face a Falcons squad coming off a 63-29 league loss to Del Sol (Las Vegas, NV). The Falcons record now stands at 1-3.
