December 19, 2024: New London, NC 28127 The Providence Grove Patriots (Franklinville, NC) basketball edged the host North Stanly Comets (New London, NC), 47-42 in Thursday's non-league bout.
The Patriots now possess a 5-3 record. They play next when they travel to Bethany Community for a non-league bout on Friday, December 27. Providence Grove will play a Wolves team coming off a 53-25 league loss to Leadership Academy (Kernersville, NC). The Wolves record now stands at 4-7.
With the loss, North Stanly falls to 2-3 on the campaign. The Comets host College Prep & Leadership Academy (Jamestown, NC) to play the Royals in a non-league bout on Friday, December 20. The Royals go into the bout with a record of 4-2. College Prep & Leadership Academy won 69-43 in their recent non-league bout against Phoenix Academy (High Point, NC)
