New Mexico High School Basketball - Texico overwhelms Melrose
December 19, 2025: Texico, NM 88135 The Texico Wolverines basketball team scored 82 points and limited the visiting Melrose Buffaloes to 51 in the Wolverines non-league triumph on Friday.
The Wolverines now have a 8-1 record. They play next when they host Farwell for a non-league game on Saturday, December 20. Texico will confront a Steers team coming off a 76-28 non-league win over Magdalena (Magdalena, NM). The Steers record now stands at 9-2.
The Buffaloes (8-2) will now prepare for their outing against Magdalena (Magdalena, NM). The Steers enter the non-league outing with a 4-4 record. In their last outing, Magdalena routed Des Moines (Des Moines, NM), 32-28, in a non-league outing.
