Arkansas High School Basketball - Manila ripped by Jonesboro
December 2, 2021: Jonesboro, AR 72401 The Jonesboro Hurricane basketball team scored 71 points and held the visiting Manila Lions to 37 in the Hurricane non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Hurricane now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Bentonville for a non-league contest on Friday, December 3. Jonesboro will battle a Tigers team coming off a 61-59 non-league win over Marion (Marion, AR). The Tigers record now stands at 1-0.
The Lions (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Harrisburg (Harrisburg, AR). The Hornets enter the 3A Region 3 contest with a 1-3 record. In their last contest, Harrisburg was routed by Hoxie (Hoxie, AR), 61-54, in a league contest.
