Texas High School Basketball - Clemens knocked off by Nixon

The Nixon Mustangs basketball team scored 73 points and held the visiting Clemens Buffaloes to 62 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Friday.

The Mustangs now sport a 7-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Veterans Memorial for a non-league contest on Friday, December 2. Nixon will battle a Patriots team coming off a 68-41 non-league win over Vela (Edinburg, TX). The Patriots record now stands at 8-3.

The Buffaloes (7-2) will now prepare for their contest against Somerset (Somerset, TX). The Bulldogs enter the non-league contest with a 8-3 record. In their last contest, Somerset was defeated by Boerne-Champion (Boerne, TX), 56-46, in a non-league contest.
