Illinois High School Basketball - Wheeling can't hold off Elk Grove
December 2, 2022: Elk Grove Village, IL 60007 The Elk Grove Grenadiers basketball team scored 66 points and restricted the visiting Wheeling Wildcats to 63 in the Grenadiers league victory on Friday.
The Grenadiers now sport a 2-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hoffman Estates for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 6. Elk Grove will battle a Hawks team coming off a 53-31 non-league win over Naperville Central (Naperville, IL). The Hawks record now stands at 5-1.
The Wildcats (3-2) will now prepare for their contest against Maine East (Park Ridge, IL). The Blue Demons come into the non-league contest with a 3-2 record. In their last contest, Maine East was nudged by Niles North (Skokie, IL), 71-67, in a league contest.
