In Friday's non-league match, the host Halstead Dragons basketball team scored a tight 46-44 triumph over the Sedgwick Cardinals.

In their next game, the Dragons meet the Berean Academy Warriors (Elbing, KS) in a non-league match, on Monday, December 5. Halstead will attempt to better on its 1-0 season record. The Warriors enter the match with a 1-0 record after their 42-40 non-league win over Central Plains (Claflin, KS).
