The Independence Bulldogs basketball team scored 50 points and held the visiting Caney Valley Bullpups to 24 in the Bulldogs non-league triumph on Friday.

The Bulldogs now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Circle for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 6. Independence will battle a Thunderbirds team coming off a 46-39 non-league win over Kingman (Kingman, KS). The Thunderbirds record now stands at 1-0.

The Bullpups (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Caney Valley (Ramona, OK). The Trojans enter the non-league contest with a 2-0 record.
