Hempfield Area Spartans (Greensburg, PA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Connellsville Falcons (Connellsville, PA), 57-22 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Hempfield Area upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Spartans travel to Franklin Regional (Murrysville, PA) to play the Panthers in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 3. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 1-0. Franklin Regional won 55-14 in their recent non-league bout against Taylor Allderdice (Pittsburgh, PA)

Next up, the Falcons play the Laurel Highlands Mustangs (Uniontown, PA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 3. Connellsville will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
