Morro Bay Pirates (Morro Bay, CA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Taft Wildcats (Taft, CA), 49-32 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Morro Bay upgrades its record to 3-2 on the season. The Pirates travel to Arvin (Arvin, CA) to clash with the Bears in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 3. The Bears go into the bout with a record of 2-5. Arvin lost 45-29 in their recent non-league bout against Marina (Huntington Beach, CA)

Next up, the Wildcats clash with the Atascadero Greyhounds (Atascadero, CA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 3. Taft will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record. The Greyhounds go into the bout with a 0-2 record after their 32-22 non-league loss to North (Bakersfield, CA).
