Weslaco Panthers (Weslaco, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Southwest Dragons (San Antonio, TX), 46-38 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Weslaco upgrades its record to 17-1 on the season. The Panthers travel to United South (Laredo, TX) to play the Panthers in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 3. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 11-2. United South won 63-30 in their recent non-league bout against Nixon (Laredo, TX)

Next up, the Dragons play the Jay Mustangs (San Antonio, TX) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 3. Southwest will attempt to upgrade on its 6-7 season record. The Mustangs go into the bout with a 5-7 record after their 57-57 non-league Nixon (Laredo, TX).
