Chester Clippers (Chester, PA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting West Philadelphia Speedboys (Philadelphia, PA), 56-54 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Chester upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Clippers travel to Chichester (Boothwyn, PA) to play the Eagles in a bout on Thursday, January 19. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 0-0.

Next up, the Speedboys play the West Catholic Burrs (Philadelphia, PA) in a non-league game, on Saturday, December 3. West Philadelphia will attempt to move on its 0-1 season record.
