The Alexandria-Monroe Tigers basketball team scored 55 points and held the visiting Eastern Comets to 50 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Tigers now sport a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Blackford for a Central Indiana contest on Friday, December 8. Alexandria-Monroe will battle a Bruins team coming off a 59-48 non-league win over Blue River Valley (Mt. Summit, IN). The Bruins record now stands at 2-1.

The Comets (1-3) will now prepare for their contest against Tri-Central (Sharpsville, IN). The Trojans enter the Hoosier Heartland contest with a 2-1 record. In their last contest, Tri-Central nudged Frontier (Chalmers, IN), 55-52, in a non-league contest.
