In Saturday's non-league outing, the American Eagles (Fremont, CA) basketball squad edged the host Evergreen Valley Cougars (San Jose, CA), by a margin of 67-66.

The Eagles (3-0) will now prepare for their outing against Newark Memorial (Newark, CA). The Cougars go into the Mission Valley outing with a 0-3 record. In their last outing, Newark Memorial was tipped by Dinuba (Dinuba, CA), 64-41, in a non-league outing.
