California High School Basketball - Rodriguez tops Merced

Rodriguez Mustangs (Fairfield, CA) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Merced Bears (Merced, CA), 64-53 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Rodriguez upgrades its record to 4-2 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Justin-Siena (Napa, CA) to play the Braves in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 5. The Braves come into the bout with a record of 2-0. Justin-Siena won 73-40 in their recent non-league bout against Fort Bragg (Fort Bragg, CA)

Next up, the Bears play the Ceres Bulldogs (Ceres, CA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 5. Merced will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a 3-2 record after their 82-53 non-league win over Modesto (Modesto, CA).
