Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the River Valley Panthers (Blairsville, PA) and the visiting Mt. Pleasant Vikings (Mt. Pleasant, PA), saw River Valley's basketball squad hold off Mt. Pleasant by a count of 46-42.

With the victory, River Valley upgrades its record to 1-1 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to United (Armagh, PA) to play the Lions in a Heritage challenge on Wednesday, December 6. The Lions come into the challenge with a record of 1-1. United lost 53-47 in their recent non-league challenge against Bishop McCort (Johnstown, PA)

Next up, the Vikings play the Derry Trojans (Derry, PA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, December 9. Mt. Pleasant will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record.
