The Penncrest Lions basketball team scored 54 points and held the host Academy Park Knights to 49 in the Lions non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Lions now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Collegium Charter for a non-league contest on Friday, December 15.

The Knights (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Downingtown West (Downingtown, PA). The Whippets enter the non-league contest with a 1-0 record. In their last contest, Downingtown West nudged Freire Charter (Philadelphia, PA), 45-28, in a non-league contest.
