Evadale Rebels (Evadale, TX) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Hargrave Falcons (Huffman, TX), 48-39 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Evadale upgrades its record to 3-3 on the season. The Rebels host Vidor (Vidor, TX) to play the Pirates in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 5. The Pirates go into the bout with a record of 10-1. Vidor lost 43-41 in their recent non-league bout against Port Arthur Memorial (Port Arthur, TX)

Next up, the Falcons play the Liberty Panthers (Liberty, TX) in a 4A Region III District 20 bout, on Tuesday, December 5. Hargrave will attempt to upgrade on its 5-8 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 14-3 record after their 32-24 non-league win over Lovelady (Lovelady, TX).
