Oregon High School Basketball - Powder Valley can't hold off Ione/Arlington
December 2, 2023: Ione, OR 97843 The Ione/Arlington Cardinals basketball team scored 47 points and restricted the visiting Powder Valley Badgers to 44 in the Cardinals non-league victory on Saturday.
The Cardinals now sport a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Umatilla for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 7. Ione/Arlington will battle a Vikings team coming off a 41-29 non-league loss to Stanfield (Stanfield, OR). The Vikings record now stands at 0-2.
The Badgers (0-2) will now prepare for their contest against Prairie City (Prairie City, OR). The Panthers come into the non-league contest with a 2-1 record. In their last contest, Prairie City edged Pine Eagle (Halfway, OR), 37-33, in a non-league contest.
